A.I Update - Ready to Ship Prompt to Slice

By Renaud from A.I Team

Progress last week

This past week, the team worked on several aspects of your project. Here's a simple summary:

Prompt to Slice : Generating Slices with a prompt

The team redesigned the Slice List to render properly previews. Dany developed a first basic layout design. We might go back to if more improvements are needed to make it look more visually appealing.

Error management if Slice Live Preview is not rendered

When there's a problem with the Slice Preview setup, now an error screen will show up, guiding users to fix it. This is crucial as the Slice Preview is key for the Prompt to Slice feature to work properly.

New Feature : Select a Slice Before Hand

In the Slice Dialog, now users can either look at all slices or pick a specific slice easily. If a user selects a specific slice, it stays selected which simplifies creating Slice content.

Get back to Slice Listing

A back button was designed and added to help users navigate back to the slice list from slice results, making it easier to move around.

Preparing Release

Tracking : Measure adoption & Feature Retention

We've added tracking to understand how users are adopting and continuing to use the features.

Design & Code Review

The whole design team reviewed the design together.

Dani also created the first pull request for the page builder team.

The work done has helped in improving how users interact with the tool, handling errors, making feature improvements, and getting ready for the upcoming release.

Additionally, we had a call with Amplitude to set up an experiment for testing with the upcoming release.

Next week :

Getting Ready for Release and Deciding on a Release Plan:

We need to decide on a plan for releasing our project. We have two options: either we turn on the feature ourselves through 'manage', or we set it up through an Amplitude experiment.

This choice is important as it will affect how we introduce our project to the users.

Getting the Pull Request (PR) Approved:

It's important that the PR gets checked and approved so we stay on schedule for our release. We'll work together to quickly address any comments and get the PR approved.

Finishing Up the Loading Screen:

We need to complete the work on the loading screen. This part is important as it shows users that the tool is working and ready to use.

Writing Messages to Explain New Features:

We need to write simple messages to tell our users about our new features and encourage them to try them out.

Creating a Survey:

We'll create a survey to get feedback from our users after we release the project and they start using it. The feedback we get will be very helpful for making the tool better in the future.

I'll be personally out of office next week and i hope you'll enjoy this quiet moment.
