PB Update - Release of Legacy Slices

By Guy

tl;dr

Last week we shipped the following items:

Enable PB for new users

Last week we made the Page Builder the default tool for all of our new repos.

Releasing this week

Legacy Slices

We can now display Legacy Slices in the Table of Slices as well as perform actions on them from the Table of slices e.g. drag and drop etc. The next step is to be able to add Legacy Slices from the slice selection menu with the aim of releasing it all this week.

Performance enhancements

This was an item we intended to release last week but was delayed due to prioritising the release of some other items. The goal of this is to improve the performance of page that has lots of slices.

Bug fixes

Fixed some tracking where some events weren't working on safari and firefox

Fixed a bug where the user was taken to the main tab after making changes and saving in another tab e.g. working in the SEO tab

Fixed a bug where SVGs were not displaying in the Media Library of the Image field, including applying a default height and width for an SVG

Fixed a bug where "Empty" was appearing beside a preselected custom type in our content relationship modal

Fixed a bug where copy and pasting a URL in an embed field sends two requests

Product enhancements

Added ability to archive a release version of a document

Added ability to publish an archived version of a document

Added ability to modify a release document and add this new version to the release

Design/UXR
