Last week we worked on the following items:

Media Library

We reached our goal of allowing a user to select and add a single image from the new media library (including replacing an existing image). We also reached an additional goal we have of adding Unsplash to the media lib

User roles

We added the functionality to prevent writers from scheduling to a release

We added the functionality to prevent contributors without a role assigned from publishing save, publishing to a locale and accessing page settings

Focus for this week

Media Library Milestone 1

The first milestone of the media library is releasing the new UI with feature parity with the existing media library. This means the media library will have the following features:

Listing of media (see all media library - including all types of media)

Upload media (all types of media (including disabling uploading while uploading and ability to retrigger an upload)

Search for media (using the old media library search)

Delete an item (not bulk delete)

Show media meta-data

Allow users to edit meta-data

Design/UXR

Opportunity prioritisation

The first iteration of the Opportunity map is done, and we've received feedback from stakeholders. The goal is to now go through the prioritisation process with our opportunities.

Manage UID

We have a first version of the design, that we will review with the Platform team this week
