PB Update - Unpublish

By Guy

tl;dr

Last week we prepared the following items for shipping (they were shipped this morning as we were unable to deploy them on Friday):

Filter locales:

Filter the documents in RT links (CR) by their locale

Bulk upload to media library:

Re-introduced the ability to upload more than 1 asset at a time, now these are queued to comply with the rate limit

As mentioned in the Product Weekly last Friday we now support relative links (in the link field and the link field in a RT).

Focus for this week:

Deploy

Unpublish a document

This is the first part of our Publish v2 stream of work and will enable users to unpublish a page as well as archive a document.

Link to a document in a RT

This will enable users to create a link to a prismic page within a rich text field.

Scoped & ready to start

Media library

The team is preparing a decision on the tech stack for the media library. We have decided to a timeboxed PoC (two days) to assist us with taking a decision this week and getting started on this work.

Design & concept ready

Integration fields

We have a first version of the design and want to validate it with the wider team.

Responsive version of Page Builder

Last week we worked on the first version of the concept (optimising for editing content on the go), this means trying to get users to the content as quickly as possible. We think we are close to the first version and from there we will then start iterating through the different editor fields.

Other topics

Manage v2

The team is currently working on a solution to enable internal Prismic team members with the ability to enable the Page Builder for users without the need for intervention from DevOps. We want to reduce the burden on DevOps and create more autonomy for the Revenue and Support team to disable/enable the Page Builder for users.

Granular user roles

This week the team will work on the strategy for the implementation of the granular user roles. Once this is done we can begin planning and estimating the work.
