This week, the team will work on two fronts:

- Get ready to start the asset migration at the beginning of next week.

- Adapt our publication system to our new database and progress enough to publish a document.

Supporting the release of the media lib

The Page Builder team aims to enable a new search experience in their new media lib. To do so, they must first migrate to a new database storage. We are supporting this migration.

Before running the migration, we want to identify as many issues as possible. This is why we run the migration process early in the project via a dry run.

Last week, we achieved a migration success rate of 100% on a sample of 20k active repos.

This week, we want to wrap up all the preparation work. So that we can initiate the migration process next week. During that period, the platform team will stay embedded in the Page Builder team, monitoring the migration.

This week, we will also support defining the next steps for the search experience in the new document list.

PrismicDB Migration

In supporting the migration API to scale, we are still focusing on the PrismicDB migration. This week, we want to rework our publication system to support our new database. We will take time to dive deep into the code to define the best tech strategy to follow and a refined estimation before being able to publish our first document.
